Flow sensor with integrated microcontroller for measuring air velocity, air temperature, and volumetric flow in m³/h.
The compact sensor head causes no significant additional pressure loss in the duct and is largely insensitive to contamination.
Flow measurement is performed calorimetrically using the heat transfer principle. A heated resistor is controlled to maintain a constant temperature difference relative to the medium temperature. As the mass flow increases, heat transfer to the medium (air) increases accordingly. The required heating voltage is a direct measure of the normalized flow velocity.
